Frustrated but optimistic

So the dingbat who I was supposed to buy a car from flaked out. I should have seen it coming. I do not have good luck with cars. What kind of idiot buys a car without a title? Well apparently this yahoo did. Of course, he originally said that he had "lost" the title and just needed to send off for a replacement through the courthouse in County A. Okay...I'll go with that. Then it was that it hadn't been processed, yada, yada. Now, this morning I get an email from the man saying that the title wasn't clear in County B. County B? What?! Why is there a problem with the title in County B? B has never been in the equation. Holy cow! Long story short - this man apparently bought the car without a title and decided to try and sell it without one. When he got called on that, he ended up getting himself into a big ole steaming pile. He now has to backtrack and find out what problems the previous owner had with the title. Oh well. As for me? I'm back to square one. I need some wheels! I'm taking Wednesday off to go to used car lots, and I've sent out several email inquiries on craigslist although that route has me a little apprehensive.

On a good note though- it is FRIDAY!!!! And....it's beautiful outside. And....I'm having a quasi-decent hair day. And.....oh yeah, my new cd and book came from Amazon. That was my St. Patty's Day present to myself. Good timing with that arrival, because I was surely going to start banging my head on my desk if something good didn't happen. Oh! It's payday, too. I just remembered that. So I guess it's not a crap day after all. :) Happy Friday!
